Re-member
Last month, 3CN (The Contemplative Community Creators Network) had its 5th annual retreat. We gathered for 6 days in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. Joselyn and I founded 3CN 5 years ago out of a desire to connect and network with others building a contemplative community. The network now stands at 23 members and is growing. It has been a tremendous resource and support for me. This year's retreat was a little smaller than past retreats, but it only increased the intimacy of our time together. We missed our regulars, 3 of whom had babies in the last two months.
I stand in awe of what is emerging and what Spirit is doing. The contemplative tradition is alive and well, emerging in new ways and expressions. Across the country, contemplative ecosystems of prayer, practice, and community are forming. Ecosystems that provide layers of support and wisdom through retreats, weekly gatherings, studies, spiritual direction, workshops, and friendships. It is a pleasure to journey with the leaders of these communities and watch them grow as well. Together, we dive into complex issues such as AI and the current social/political landscape. The contemplative way of being and practice has a lot to offer in these rapidly changing times.
I found myself in a two-fold remembrance during this year's retreat. Remembering intentions and values that I wish to carry forward. Remembering people, activities, and moments over Contemplate Lincoln’s almost 10 years of community. Also re-membering/reconnecting with my fellow contemplative community creators and the larger movement. Connection is vital, and I am blessed with so many soul friends at Contemplate Lincoln and 3CN. I am excited to bring this energy and insight into year 10 of our community. This summer our board will be reflecting on year 10 and what is wanting to emerge here in our community. I don’t know what Spirit has in store, but I do know it will be a surprise and it will be wonderful. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey.
Finally an invitation: If you sense any offerings or intentions you wish to bring forward to our community, email me and let's connect.
Love, Adam

First Annual Retreat Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 9:30 AM to Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM
The Rule of St. Benedict calls us to “diligently cultivating silence at all times.” How can we practice stillness in our often-chaotic world and follow the psalmist's call to be still and know God’s loving presence? In this retreat we will learn and deepen practices through which we might enter into stillness in our daily lives like contemplative prayer, lectio divina, and walking the labyrinth. Co-sponsored by Contemplate Lincoln.
Steven Blum, PhD, is a retired clinical psychologist, retreat leader and Benedictine Oblate.
Adam Luedtke, PhD, is the director and pastor of Contemplate Lincoln. In 2021 he co-founded Contemplative Creators Network, a collective of leaders in the Christian Contemplative Tradition.
Cost: $181.61 (Single) $170.76 (Double, per person) (Includes program fee, guest room, meals and taxes) If no bedrooms are available, call the retreat center to be put on a waiting list.
**If you are exempt from Nebraska state taxes, would like to arrive earlier or depart later, or opt out of meals, please contact us.
Cancellation Policy: The total cost includes a program fee, which is non-refundable, but which can be used for future retreats.

The Contemplative Cathedral A Space to Deepen Your Spiritual Life
Join us online for contemplation and community. So many of us on the contemplative path eventually get to the point where we can go no further alone. The Contemplative Cathedral is a response to the inner yearning of many contemplatives for community. It looks a little like other social media platforms, but it is so much more. It's a space to conspire, connect, and contemplate, and our online home for all of our event info (both online & in-person), links, and groups. It also serves as a way to stay connected in between events.
